Fast facts about our Conference
The United Methodist Church is divided into five jurisdictions nationally.
The Nebraska Annual Conference is one of 16 conferences in the South Central Jurisdiction.
Nebraska is divided into six districts, each with its own district superintendent.
Approximately 79,000 Nebraskans are members of The United Methodist Church. Nebraska has 382 United Methodist congregations. Most of the 260-plus pastors serve in cooperative ministries, often working with two or three congregations, and sometimes yoked with congregations of other denominations.
About 350 of our congregations are located outside of Lincoln and Omaha.
The Nebraska United Methodist Conference will be part of a Nebraska-Kansas Episcopal Area beginning in 2012.
