Camp Comeca hiring new director

The Nebraska Conference United Methodist Church is seeking an experienced, dynamic leader as director of Comeca Camp and Retreat Center. Responsibilities include overseeing the entire operation of the camp, including summer program development and implementation; developing relationships and partnerships with local churches; providing hospitality and program for retreat guests; and overseeing property, facilities and food service. Desired skills include mature Christian faith, creative and visionary leadership, knowledge of and commitment to the United Methodist Church, and relevant experience in camp and retreat ministry. Benefits include salary, newly remodeled on-site housing, health insurance, meals when camp is in session and pension. Comeca is located near Cozad, Neb. on Midway Lake and is ACA accredited. EOE

Comeca Fall Youth Retreat

The leaves are changing colors, farmers are starting to harvest their crops, and Comeca's Fall Youth Retreat is fast approaching! Youth from across the state are invited to gather together for a time of worship, fellowship, and fun as we celebrate God and his works in our lives. Open to all youth in Nebraska grades 7th through 12th, FYR is the perfect escape for youth to congregate and celebrate. Activities include swimming, group building games, dodge ball tournament, and other exciting events! This year registration is open from 5:00--7:30pm to allow youth from across the state to assemble. Bring your youth group and friends and experience camp first hand.

Who: All Youth Grades 7th - 12th

Where: Camp Comeca Cozad Nebraska

When: Friday November 7TH - Sunday November 9TH

Cost: $60 per person / $70 per person after November 1st

What to Bring: Friends, sleeping bag, pillow, changes of clothes (including one that can get messy), Winter appropriate outdoor clothing, swimming suit, towels, shower supplies, bible, and board, card, or other favorite group game to share.

This year was special for our family. For the first time, all three of our daughters were old enough to attend camp. Our youngest, Olivia, was finally able to join her sisters and enjoy the same experience, the same laughter, the same life-changing event that she has witnessed Emma and Cora enjoy. We want to thank you for making this year possible.

Camp is an important part of our family's life. We schedule our vacations around it. We count down the days leading up to camp. And we make sure that we are there to financially afford this experience. You see, I (Seth) am not only a member of the Norwesca Site Board - we are recipients of your gracious dollars to camp. Our family experiences God every summer because we dig deep to make sure that camp is affordable for all to attend. You have made this possible. Your donations - giving of your time, talents, and money - are indeed worth it. On behalf of our family, thank you for making our summer a success. On behalf of our daughters, thank you for making sure that our camps in Nebraska are open for them to grow with Christ.

Camp Fontanelle Corn Maze

Camp Fontanelle's Corn Maze is open now through November 2nd. Open Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 to 7:00.

Cost: $6, 12 and up & $4, kids
